Pioneering youth development program to be staged in UAE, KSA and Kuwait
Career exploration platform, A Learning Lab, is launching a one-of-a-kind program to enable high school students to develop their skills and unleash their potential. The Harvard Business and Leadership Bootcamp offers a unique opportunity for students to learn from mentors from the Ivy League institution and will be staged in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Kuwait in the coming weeks.
Aimed at students from 13 to 18 years old, the Harvard Business and Leadership Bootcamp is the first program of its kind in the region and is designed to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit that can drive economic growth. It will help students to explore various career paths, build essential skills and gain hands-on professional experience. Staged over three to four days, the program connects ambitious young leaders directly with Harvard Business School mentors and top international consultants, to receive personalized mentorship tailored to the global business landscape.
Incorporating industry-based consulting frameworks and challenging real-world case studies, each session of the program focusses on a key area of business, combining theory with practical exercises and simulations to equip future leaders with the strategic thinking capabilities needed to excel in the increasingly diversified economy. Day one builds students’ foundations in consulting and market strategy, while day two focusses on the essential skills of critical thinking and problem-solving.
The program culminates in an entrepreneurship and career development day, where participants learn about creating and financing a new business venture and explore best practices in resume preparation and interview techniques. Students will have the opportunity to develop a project and present it in a public forum. All participants receive a certificate recognizing their achievements upon completion.
The Harvard Business and Leadership Bootcamp is part of a portfolio of programs curated by A Leaning Lab to help high school students explore their career options and make informed choices as they start planning for higher education. The Harvard Business and Leadership Bootcamp will take place at GEMS Metropole School – Al Waha, Dubai from 28th June; Cambridge International School Abu Dhabi, from 2nd July; Riyadh Schools Riyadh, from 7th July; and Innova International English School Kuwait from 13th July
