The initiative supports Sony’s Road to Zero ambition, reinforcing its long-standing presence in the UAE
DUBAI, UAE – [11th May, 2026] – Sony Middle East and Africa (Sony MEA) has successfully completed its Solar Power Energy Project with a project capacity of 391.2 kWp, at its regional headquarters located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), Dubai, marking a significant step in advancing its sustainability agenda and reinforcing its long-standing presence in the United Arab Emirates.
The solar installation is expected to offset approximately 40% of the facility’s total energy consumption, contributing to an estimated reduction of 235 metric tons of CO₂ emissions annually. Over its projected 25-year lifecycle, the initiative will support Sony’s broader environmental goals and contribute to ongoing efforts toward a low-carbon future.
The project aligns with Sony’s global environmental plan, Road to Zero, which aims to achieve a zero environmental footprint by 2050, as well as its medium-term Green Management 2030 targets. It also supports the UAE’s national sustainability agenda and ongoing solar energy initiatives.
