The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has announced that four major international technology trade fairs will take place in Hong Kong in April 2026, further strengthening bilateral trade and innovation ties between Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia
Commenting on the four international trade fairs, Mr Daniel Lam, Regional Director, Middle East & Africa of the HKTDC, said that the fairs will offer ideal platforms for traders and suppliers from Saudi Arabia to expand their businesses into new markets. Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia have enjoyed robust bilateral trade relations on a range of products and services over the years. Adding to the Hong Kong’s business advantages, the HKTDC gathers the latest market intelligence and form partnerships to develop business for corporations.”
“Saudi Arabia is Hong Kong’s 37th largest trading partner in 2025. Until November 2025. According to Hong Kong Census’ figures, in 2025, the total trade value between the two places reached more than USD 1.34 billion. In which, the Saudi Arabia was Hong Kong’s 31st major export market with a total export value of over USD 1.23 billion and 57th largest import source with an import value of over USD 0.1billion,” he added.
The April 2026 technology line-up includes InnoEX (13–16 April 2026) and the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) (13–16 April 2026), followed by the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) (20–23 April 2026) and the Smart Lighting Expo (20–23 April 2026). All four events will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
The HKTDC will host two prominent exhibitions in Hong Kong from 13-16 April — InnoEX and Electronics Fair (Spring Edition). Both events will take place from 13 to 16 April 2026, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, showcasing the latest smart products, electronic components, and innovative solutions. In 2025, the two fairs brought together more than 2,800 exhibitors from 29 countries and regions, and attracted around 88,000 industry buyers from 148 countries and regions.
InnoEX 2026 and Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition)
InnoEX is a core event of the Business of Innovation and Technology Week, driven by the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau of the HKSAR Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and global innovations. Under the theme of “Innovate • Automate • Elevate”, The InnoEX 2026 will spotlight five dynamic areas including Articial Intelligence (AI+), Robotics altitude economy (unmanned aerial vehicle), Property Technology, and Retail Technology.
Entering its 22nd edition, the Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) continues to connect international exhibitors with buyers worldwide, showcasing groundbreaking electronics products and solutions aligned with evolving tech trends. The 2026 fair will spotlight on products and solutions in the sectors of Smart Home & Solutions, Health Tech & Gadgets and Pet Intelligence.
The fair will host over 20 product zones, including the Hall of Fame that will feature over 500 global renowned electronics brands and their creation; the Tech Hall will showcase next-generation electronics and modern lifestyle solutions; the Immersive Experience Zone will offer visitors hands-on experiences with wearable technology and interactive games; and the Start Up Zone will highlight the latest innovations and creative ideas from entrepreneurs.
Additional thematic product zones will cover categories such as Energy Storage & E-mobility, Home Appliances, Audio-Visual Products, Computing and Gaming, Automotive & In-Vehicle Electronics, and more.
The two fairs will also introduce the RoboPark, unveiling robots’ potential and innovations through immersive scenario-based demonstrations and live robotics performances. From humanoids and robotic arms to quadrupeds and autonomous mobile robots, visitors can explore how robotics is reshaping business, daily life, healthcare, and industries today.
During the two exhibitions, forums, presentations, and other events will be held, inviting experts to share insights and provide valuable networking opportunities for industry professionals. Additionally, start-ups will have excellent platforms to promote innovative ideas, seek support from investors, and gain advice from experts on business development.
The 17th HK International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) and the 3rd Smart Lighting Expo)
The 17th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) and the 3rd Smart Lighting Expo will be staged from 20 to 23 April 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Under the theme “Go Smart • Live Green”, worldwide exhibitors will present global buyers with a wide range of high-quality lighting products.
The role of lighting has been redefined and transformed into a vital component that enhances well-being and fosters improved environments alongside with the advancement of the lighting industry. Smart Lighting Expo, a comprehensive platform for the entire supply chain, showcasing an extensive array of products and solutions, including smart lighting technologies, human-centric designs, energy-efficient innovations, advanced digital signage solutions and much more. Given the rising demand in smart display solutions and entertainment lighting driven by mega-events over the world, a new zone named Smart Commercial Display & Stage Audio-Visual Zone will be launched, featuring renowned brands and leaders of the industry. Key industry leaders such as Absen, whose product was used in NBA, New York Times Square and FIFA Qatar World Cup, has confirmed their participation in the zone
The concurrent Spring Lighting Fair will continue to serve as a one-stop trading platform. The Greenovation zone will make a welcome return and showcase green building products and green lighting products, including solar panel, electrical engineering, house and building automation, safety and security technology. The Leisure Lighting Zone and the Outdoor Lighting Zone will be newly introduced to bring specialised products tailored to leisure and outdoor applications. Fair’s highlighted zone, the Hall of Aurora, will gather renowned brands and showcase innovative lighting products and technologies. Other product zones include commercial lighting, decorative lighting, residential lighting, technical lighting and lighting accessories. A new themed display will also be featured in Hall 3 to showcase interactive lighting products equipped with voice control, cutting-edge innovative technologies, or AI-driven features — highlighting the latest advancements in smart and intelligent lighting.
In addition to showcasing products, the twin lighting fairs will feature informative forums where industry players will share their insights on the latest trends and developments in the lighting industry. These forums will provide a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and networking among industry professionals. Asian Lighting Forum will take place on 20-21 April to facilitate the lighting industry to adapt to the latest sustainability standards and market trends of landscape and outdoor lighting as well as showcasing recognised immersive entertainment lighting projects by award-winning designers. To be held on 21 April, industry experts will present the technological advancements in human-centric lighting and the application of intelligent LED solutions with case studies in Smart Lighting Solution Forum.
