Riyadh is preparing to host the fifth edition of the Saudi Pet & Vet Expo from 9–11 November 2026 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center. The event brings together pet lovers, breeders and industry professionals for an experience combining competitions, entertainment, learning and interaction with the world of pets.
Among the expo’s main attractions are the Cat Show and Dog Village, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy exciting shows and competitions while giving breeders the chance to participate, compete and showcase their pets’ abilities before audiences and specialized judging panels.
Cat Show: A World of Unique Breeds and Exciting Competitions
For cat lovers and breeders, the Cat Show offers an exceptional experience featuring a diverse range of cats competing in an international competition judged according to breed standards of the World Cat Federation (WCF). The evaluation goes beyond appearance, taking into account each cat’s structure, type, coat, condition and overall presentation.
Over three days, visitors can see different cat breeds up close, learn about their characteristics and care requirements, and follow the judging process and presentations, culminating in the “Best in Show” segment.
For breeders, the Cat Show provides an opportunity to compete for official titles, awards, and certificates, as well as receive judges’ reports and connect with fellow breeders and experts. The competition welcomes cats with documented pedigrees, as well as household cats evaluated according to the criteria established for their respective categories.

The event features a variety of categories, including the Best Trick Competition, the Sit and Stay Challenge and the Best Appearance Competition. Visitors can also enjoy “Ask the Trainer” sessions, educational workshops covering the basics of dog ownership, an adoption and community area, and dedicated spaces for play, photography and interaction.
The excitement builds with a points-based system that allows dogs to compete for the title of Dog Village Champion. Points are awarded based on dogs’ performance in competitions, judges’ evaluations, and audience engagement, with the highest-scoring dogs qualifying for the finals.
Beyond the competitions, Dog Village gives visitors the opportunity to learn about positive training techniques and responsible pet care, connect with trainers and specialists and discover products and services offered by participating brands.
