CATRION Catering Holding Company has received the silver recognition at the Corporate Social Responsibility Award 2026, in its third edition, presented by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in recognition of the company’s continued efforts to develop sustainable community initiatives that strengthen food security, reduce waste and advance social responsibility in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The recognition was presented during the award ceremony held under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman AlRajhi, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, celebrating companies and private-sector institutions distinguished by their social responsibility practices and measurable impact on society.
The recognition reflects CATRION’s continued approach to embedding social responsibility across its business and operations. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Mohammed bin Hassan Al-Shuhail, Chief Executive Officer of CATRION Catering Holding Company, alongside members of the company’s senior leadership team, underscoring CATRION’s ongoing efforts to develop initiatives and partnerships that deliver measurable community impact and strengthen collaboration with the non-profit sector.
One of the key examples of this approach is the “Hifz Al-Ne’mah” initiative, implemented by CATRION in partnership with Ikram Food Bank Association. The initiative focuses on utilizing surplus food that remains safe for consumption and redistributing it as safe, high-quality meals to eligible families and individuals, contributing to food security, waste reduction and the advancement of sustainability and circular economy principles.
The initiative’s impact has extended across the Kingdom, reaching approximately 9 million beneficiaries, supported by the participation of more than 2,817 volunteers and the implementation of more than 4,000 field trips under the Hifz Al-Ne’mah initiative.
Commenting on the recognition, Eng. Ziad Al-Harbi, Executive Director of Environment, Social Responsibility and Governance at CATRION, said:
“We are proud of this recognition, which reflects CATRION’s commitment to transforming social responsibility into tangible and sustainable impact. The ‘Hifz Al-Ne’mah’ initiative represents this approach by bringing together waste reduction, enhanced food security and effective partnerships with the non-profit sector to create meaningful value for society.”
He added: “At CATRION, we continue to develop our community initiatives through an approach focused on measuring impact, advancing sustainability and expanding the scope of partnerships, in support of Saudi Vision 2030 and the private sector’s contribution to community development.”
The Hifz Al-Ne’mah initiative supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 by strengthening social responsibility and the role of the private sector in sustainable development, increasing the contribution of the non-profit sector, enhancing partnerships between the private and non-profit sectors, and supporting food security, waste reduction and the optimal use of resources.
Building on its national identity and longstanding leadership in the hospitality and catering sector, CATRION continues a journey spanning more than four and a half decades, during which it has established a legacy of expertise, operational excellence and trust, while contributing to the development of in-flight catering services and enhancing the passenger experience.
