- Nissan Saudi Arabia is expanding its efforts to raise awareness of the risks associated with counterfeit parts by sharing its technical aftersales expertise with spare parts professionals beyond its authorized network. The initiative reflects the company’s customer-first approach by helping reduce risks to customers and preserve vehicle safety, performance and reliability.
Counterfeit parts are more than simply non-genuine products. Their use can create safety risks, affect vehicle performance, cause premature damage and result in unexpected maintenance and repair costs.
Launched in 2023, Nissan Saudi Arabia’s program includes awareness sessions, workshops and technical training for spare parts market professionals. It covers the risks associated with counterfeit parts, general indicators of suspected counterfeit products and appropriate procedures for handling suspected cases. It also provides practical guidance to help professionals distinguish Genuine Nissan Parts from products requiring further verification.
Over the course of the program, tens of thousands of suspected counterfeit Nissan parts have been confiscated. Of these, 25,765 were confiscated across six recorded cases between May 2025 and September 2026. The suspected counterfeit items included commonly replaced components such as air filters, oil filters and spark plugs, highlighting the scale of the issue and its potential impact on routine vehicle maintenance and performance.

The company also encourages customers to purchase Genuine Nissan Parts through authorized Nissan channels and avoid installing parts whose authenticity cannot be verified, helping reduce the risks associated with counterfeit products.
