His Royal Highness Prince Saud Bin Abdullah Bin Jalawi , Governor of Jeddah, attended the Silver Jubilee celebration marking the 25th anniversary of Thamer International Schools, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Thamer Faisal Thamer Abdulaziz, Vice Chairman of the Board, Her Royal Highness Princess Al-Jawhara Faisal Thamer Abdulaziz, as well as a number of royal family members, senior officials, educational leaders, and academics.
The ceremony featured the launch of the schools’ Silver Jubilee celebrations and a documentary highlighting their educational journey and achievements since their establishment, showcasing the awards and milestones attained over a quarter-century of excellence and dedication. The event also included a series of celebratory performances reflecting the schools’ rich history, educational mission, and enduring impact in shaping generations of leaders and innovators.
In her address during the ceremony, Saudi artist Shalimar Sharbatly said: “Today, I feel a profound sense of pride as we celebrate in our homeland the Silver Jubilee of Thamer International Schools—a pioneering educational institution that has successfully combined authenticity with modernity while preserving our Arab and Islamic identity and delivering world-class education of the highest standards.
Saudi Arabia does not merely build schools; it builds people and shapes the spirit of the nation. What distinguishes Thamer International Schools is their balanced educational model, which brings together Arabic and English, openness to the world and pride in religion, values, and national culture. As a result, students graduate equipped to engage confidently with diverse cultures without compromising their identity or sense of belonging.
I have personally experienced the importance of this balance. My daughter studied in France and became fluent in both French and English. Yet, nothing compares to the warmth of one’s homeland or to the profound influence of our Arab and Islamic culture in shaping character and conscience. Friendship, belonging, and a deep connection to one’s land and identity are values that can only flourish in a nation that embraces its people as Saudi Arabia does.
Today, amid the Kingdom’s remarkable educational transformation under its wise leadership, Saudi Arabia no longer sends its children abroad merely to learn from the world. Instead, it is moving confidently toward becoming a global center of knowledge and culture—one that attracts others seeking to learn from its values of education, humanity, and coexistence.
What we witness today at Thamer International Schools is a shining example of this transformation. It is an educational institution that believes building people begins with caring for every student, nurturing their talents, addressing their educational challenges, and shaping their character so they become confident citizens—proud of their identity and open to the world.
May our Kingdom continue to be a source of pride and glory, and may our schools remain beacons of educational excellence that elevate Saudi Arabia’s standing and nurture generations capable of shaping the future with confidence and distinction.”
At the conclusion of the ceremony, a number of Thamer International Schools staff members who have dedicated more than twenty years of service were honored in recognition of their outstanding contributions and their role in the schools’ continued success. Partners and supporters who have contributed to advancing the schools’ educational programs and initiatives were also recognized.
Several strategic partnership agreements were signed during the event in support of the schools’ future vision, further strengthening their role in advancing educational excellence and preparing future generations capable of contributing to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
