Al Masaood Group has announced its participation in Make it in the Emirates 2026, to be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 4–7 May. At the exhibition, Al Masaood Group Industrial, led by its Projects and Engineering Services Division (PESD), will present its industrial manufacturing plans and capabilities and explore new opportunities that support the UAE’s broader industrial development agenda.
Hani El Tannir, CEO of Al Masaood Group Industrial, said: “We have had a longstanding role in driving industrial development in the UAE, spanning several decades. We continue to actively seek opportunities to strengthen the country’s industrial base through participation and strategic partnerships. We are fully aligned with government directives to increase local value creation through manufacturing, whether directly or through collaboration with leading global companies across a range of sectors. This includes local manufacturing for the energy, utilities, and broader industrial sectors.”
The Group’s industrial arm operates across several key verticals, including oil and gas, power and water, construction and housing, and wider industrial applications, with dedicated manufacturing units serving each. At Make it in the Emirates, it will present the full breadth of these capabilities alongside its plans for further expansion. The focus is to bring international manufacturing leaders to add value locally through ventures and projects. Showcasing this year will be technologies for Water Treatment, Gas control, Galvanizing, multi-purpose steel fabrication, as well as Electrical and infrastructure solutions. Al Masaood’s Projects and Engineering Services Division is evolving those relationships from international principals to local partnerships.
The Group’s participation will thus reflect its approach to developing national industries through collaboration with both local and international partners, with a focus on bringing the latest designs and technologies to meet local market requirements. Central to this is its commitment to training and upskilling UAE nationals in line with high international standards – an approach El Tannir described as fundamental to sustainable, long-term economic growth.
Speaking on manufacturing standards, El Tannir noted that locally produced products must meet the high expectations of discerning clients, achievable only through engineering and operational excellence supported by continued technological advancement.
Looking ahead to the event, El Tannir said: “Make it in the Emirates is an important platform for us to continue building on our industrial presence in the UAE and increasing in-country value. We see it as an excellent opportunity to identify and discuss new endeavours that align with our strategy and contribute to the local economy which our PESD General Manager, Dr Khursheed Alam and I will lead.”
Emiratisation remains a core pillar of the Group’s industrial strategy. “We are firmly committed to nationalising our workforce. We have launched several programmes that have delivered strong results, and we remain committed to this national priority, which is central to achieving long-term economic sustainability.” El Tannir added.
